16 Bath & Beauty Products I'm Loving Right Now

walkinlove_bathandbeautyrecomendations_lancasterblogger-1.jpg

I want to start off by saying that I am in no way a beauty blogger. Most days I don't even wear makeup, and for years I didn't even own a hairbrush. So, now that I say all that, maybe you shouldn't be taking advice from me! 😂

However, although I am not a beauty blogger, I am a mom that wants to feel like a REAL HUMAN BEING most days. And I want to use products that are both safe and work really well. So I have rounded up my current 16 bath and beauty product favorites for you, because I know that when it comes to trying something new recommendations can go a long way! These are items that I love and have used for a long time, so here we go!

I’ve linked everything I can and have put all the products at the very bottom of this post if you’re wanting to order and try some of them!

1. Shampoo & Conditioner by Love Beauty & Planet

I have actually tried a few different scents of this shampoo and conditioner, and have loved them all. But hands down my two favorites are the Sandalwood and Shea Butter, and the Coconut & Ylang Ylang. Not only do they smell amazing, but they're good for the planet and free of all the bad things.

(I also really love their deep conditioner packs!)

2. Eye Do All Things by Bliss

This stuff is made to hydrate and kinda "wake up" the under eye area. It's not a dark circle remover (sadly!), but it does make the skin under your eyes a little bit better. I like to put it on before I put on makeup. I feel like it helps my under eye makeup sit on my skin better!

3. Rosy Pits by Mega Babe

This deodorant works for me 90% of the time. There were certainly a few days this past summer where it was so incredibly hot outside, and I had to be outside most of the day, so this natural deodorant had a hard time keeping up. But honestly, I think the "other stuff" would have too on days like that. I'm just happy that I've found a natural one that works for me almost all of the time.

4. Thigh Rescue by Mega Babe

This is something I wish I'd had when I photographed weddings! When you're wearing a dress or even certain pairs of shorts, it can hurt when your legs rub together! This rescue stick is amazing and totally works. Someone once told me they use it when working out or going on runs, which is super smart too.

5. Billie Razor

I picked this razor at first simply because the branding was so good. And then, was pleasantly surprised when I loved the razor just as much! You can order a starter kit and then subscribe to have ongoing deliveries of four replacement blade cartridges to your door for $9 (at a frequency of your choice) so you never run out of supplies! This is great because I don't ever have to remember to buy razors when I'm shopping!

6. Makeup Melt Oil Free Makeup Remover Wipes + Makeup Melt Cleanser Dry/We Gentle Jelly

These are hands-down my favorite makeup remover products. Over the years I have tried quite a few different brands and ended up not loving them over time because of either the price or that they'd make the red/sensitive spots on my face burn when I'd take off my makeup. These Bliss wipes do NOT do that and it's awesome.

You can use the jelly with a dry face and a cotton pad, which takes off your makeup and mascara gently and completely!

7. Instant Exfoliating Scalp Scrub by Kristin Ess

This time of year my scalp is so dry, so this scrub has been awesome to remove any product build-up and flakes. I can also tell a difference in my hairs volume on the days I use it, my hair feels cleaner and lighter when I use the scalp scrub!

8. Dry Shampoo by Kristin Ess

I love all of Kristin's product. Shocking, I know. I've been following her on Instagram for a very long time. Like, more than 6 years I think! So when she launched her line of products at Target I was there on the day they were available to try them out. I've tried *almost* all of them in one form or another and have loved them all (except the hair spray? Just didn't do it for me.), but one of my favorites is definitely the Dry Shampoo. It actually deposits a lot of real powder into your hair when you use it, so it works wonderfully. Does exactly what it's supposed to and leaves a nice texture to your hair that's great when you haven't washed it in a few days!

9. Dry Shampoo by Love Beauty Planet

While this one doesn't seem to give as much visible powder to your hair, it still does the trick! Plus, it's only around $6 instead of the KE Dry Shampoo which is $14. Honestly, though, both are good, and I usually keep both on hand.

10. Energy Boost Body Wash by method.

My personal favorite scent is the Energy Boost, which is citrus, ginger and sea buckthorn. I don't even know what that is, but I don't even care because it smells so good! Overall, it's a pretty mild scent and soap, and it's never made me dry or itchy or anything like that!

I actually use this to shave with because I'm not much of a shaving cream fan. I just use whatever body wash is in the shower at the time. There's also a really great men's version of this body wash!

11. The One Signature Hair Water by Kristin Ess

Okay, I know that sound crazy. Hair water? What even is that? Well, you're right, it's water. But! It's a super fine mist of water that happens to smell delightful and is the perfect way to give your hair/waves that "lived in look", even if you've just finished styling it. I don't know about you, but I often like the way my curls look midday, after they've fallen a little bit and aren't so tight and bouncy. Mist your hair with this water and it'll help everything relax just the tiniest bit and make you look more cool-beach-girl and less beauty-pageant-curl-girl.

12. Loose Styling Powder by Kristin Ess

I assume this is similar to the powder used in the dry shampoo, which is why it's so great. Although, if you use too much it can make your hair feel really weird. But if you're wanting volume for your ponytail, or some grit to your braid so it'll stay better and hold its shape when you "pancake" it apart, this stuff is magical!

13. Shea Butter And Sandalwood Hand and Body Lotion by Love Beauty & Planet

Smells wonderful, works well, and has become my go-to lotion after I shower. :)

14. Leave-In Conditioner by Kristin Ess

This is pretty self-explanatory, but this one works great and smells wonderful. I actually keep mine in the shower, because it's best used when your hair is still very wet.

15. Detangling Conditioner by Honest

I actually bought this, and use it primarily, for June's hair. But sometimes I'll spray it in my hair if it's already started to air dry and I forgot to add the nicer Kristin Ess stuff. Like I said above, the KE stuff needs to be lightly misted in when your hair is still very wet and well, sometimes I just forget. So it's nice to add this Honest one in after the fact and still have that extra hydration for my hair as it air dries. Plus, the sweet orange vanilla smell on this one is heavenly!

16. Dry Working Texture Spray by Kristin Ess

Okay okay, this is the last thing of hers I'll mention in this post! I use this in combination with whatever hair spray I have at the time. It adds a lovely texture to the ends of your hair when you curl it. She also has a beach wave spray, which I like too, but this one gives more texture to your hair and provides more of that messy separation I like to my curls. If you're not a big fan of hairspray, yet wish your hair had a little more texture to it so your curls don't look so perfect, you should try this!

Well, there you have it, my current bath and beauty favorites. I'm still working towards replacing my makeup little by little to make up that's better for my skin. If you have any recommendations, let me know what you love!
