WANT AN INTENTIONAL FAMILY LIFE?

INTRODUCING

Rhythms Made Simple

A course designed to help you and your young family learn to live in a 7-day rhythm for a more joy-filled and purpose-packed life.

WE’RE JUST GUESSING HERE, BUT…

Maybe your life feels sorta offbeat?

It may feel hard to pinpoint the EXACT feeling, but it’s a lot more “missing the mark” and less “building a family you’re proud of” when it comes to living your day-to-day.

Need more specifics? Think through these questions:

  • Do you feel like you’re running on a hamster wheel, trying to keep up with the demands of life while feeling burnt out?

  • Are you a parent of young children struggling to find balance and rest amidst all the chaos?

  • Do you see the benefit of living in a more intentional ebb and flow, but you need help with consistency?

  • Does it feel like the only way you can describe your life is “busy?”

  • Do you arrive at the end of your days feeling like you were running the whole time, but still didn’t get anything done?

  • Finally, do you have dreams for the kind of family life you want to build but you feel like you’re nowhere near making that happen?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we created Rhythms Made Simple for you.

Well, we accidentally created it for US, first —out of total desperation.

THE LONG STORY, KINDA SHORT

We’re the Mousetis Family. You might know us (Brooke and TJ) as the fun and creative, Jesus-loving husband and wife team who sells t-shirts on the internet.

But we’re not exaggerating when we say that 2018 almost broke us. We were in the thick of babies and business. We had a toddler and a brand new baby all while running a company that had grown… A LOT.

Complete with a warehouse, employees, brick and mortar spaces, the works, we were drowning beneath responsibilities we LOVED and were so grateful for, but it was costing us who we wanted to be and how we aimed to show up in the world.

At the end of 2018, we finally followed the Lord’s call we’d felt for longer than we care to admit. We decided to lay down our business, closing walk in love. as we knew it, indefinitely.

And really, when we try to put a finger on it, there wasn’t ONE reason we made this decision in the moment.

It was a culmination of running way too long in the direction of everything all at once instead of defining what we wanted “success” to look like in our family, and walking that out with grace and rest baked into the process.

We wanted to go far in life, but we forgot about it being…

fun

filled with purpose

family-focused

One thing we know for sure is that Jesus binds up the broken. The superglue He used to put the Mousetis family back together?

LEARNING TO LIVE IN RHYTHM.

We finally found out that we didn’t have to choose between hustle and accomplish or rest and fall short. (Or worse, hustle AND fall short, yikes spikes!)

Instead we could opt to live in a rhythm that supported what was most important to our family while also allowing us to completely rock out our purpose in a more sustainable way.

We had to throw out the world’s idea of “balance” and take back the Bible’s principle of “rhythm” instead.

Balance is very “in” these days, but it’s not realistic.

You can’t possibly make everything in your life equal weight so it hovers right above the ground in the scale of productivity.

Living in rhythm means defining what success means to your family and prepping your life to meet that goal, consistently.

And when we started to do that, our family and business took on a radically different identity.

  • We re-opened walk in love. and implemented a “rhythmic” launch model that allowed us to trade hustle for intention. Things SKYROCKETED.

  • We began to live life in a 7-day rhythm that ushered in a hybrid of intentionality and fun that we’d never experienced before.

  • We prioritized Sabbath, and took a new approach to rest and play that brought us back to the peace and abundance God promises.

Oh, and we got our joy back.

And while it may sound like we changed our whole life, very drastically and all at once, the truth is, it all started small and with one guiding question.

COULD THERE BE A SIMPLER WAY TO DO THIS “LIFE” THING?

a.k.a. less than an emotional-support Target trip to live your intentional family life

HERE’S THE TRUTH

Want different? You’ve gotta do different.

Maybe you’ve been telling yourself that things will just get easier when (insert circumstance that seems to be causing all the chaos). Well, if you were sitting across from us at Friday dinner, TJ would kindly but very bluntly blurt out, “Um, yeah. No it won’t.”

Because family life IS A LOT. And it can feel even more intense when you think about the responsibility you hold to not just get through life, but to thrive in a way that helps your kids learn how to be amazing humans and in a way that’s ACTUALLY FUN sometimes.

OUR ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOU

You don’t have to give up on an abundant and joy-filled life while you wait out your current season.

You can thrive with all your current circumstances, it’s just going to take a little bit of deciding, planning, and prioritizing to make it happen.

Whether your priorities are:

Waffles, friends, work…

Or friends, waffles, work…

*Parks and Rec, anyone?*

… we’re here to teach you exactly how we put rhythms that support our family’s priorities in place so we could have the joy-filled life and family we’ve always dreamed of, living out our God-anointed purpose TOGETHER.

We can’t wait for you to do it, too.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Let’s keep this decision simple.

  • Yes! A huge part of how we teach Rhythms is in a way that helps you find YOUR rhythm. Rhythm should feel helpful and doable, so that will be different for each family. We know plenty of families with nurses and other non-typical scheduled professions, so we’ve got some tips to help you craft your flow if that’s the case for you. We’d even say a not-so-typical schedule is EVEN MORE of a reason to develop a more intentional rhythm for your family so it doesn’t feel like you’re flying by the seat of your pants.

  • We totally get that. Us either! Actually, TJ REALLY doesn’t want his weeks to look the same, but Brooke doesn’t mind an intense routine here and there! With that said, rhythms are actually our secret to making sure we can have adventure and joy baked into our week without losing a handle on our responsibilities and the stuff that helps us feel on top of our life. Kids also benefit A TON from structure, so we’d suggest weaving some spontaneity into your RHYTHM so you can keep what’s important to you top of mind!

  • To quote Squints, “FORRRRREEEEEVVVER.” Ha. You’ll have lifetime access to the course content so you can work through it at your own pace AND come back to it any time your life season changes and you need a refresh!

  • It is self-paced! So you can go through it all at once and start to apply, or you can go one-by-one through the lessons and apply as you go. No right or wrong way to walk toward the family dynamics you’re hoping for.

  • Not technically, no! We find that parents with young children feel the most overwhelmed and like they’re missing the mark. But living in a 7-day rhythm can help your family, no matter what stage you’re in. Plus, it teaches your kids how to live in a way that incorporates the important stuff, and that’s something we’d want our kids to learn at any stage!

  • Oh, for sure. If this idea of a 7-day rhythm is pulling at your heart, then dive in with us! Especially if you’re just beginning your family and you hope to have kids one day, this is something we wish we started with YEARS ago. It’s never too soon to start nailing down the intentions you want to infuse into your family.

WOW - WOW - WOW - WOW - WOW

“Okay, I want this.”

If that’s what your brain is telling you right now, we strongly advise that you DO NOT ignore it.

The fact that you’re feeling the pull means that your family life isn’t meeting the expectations and hopes you have for your day-to-day OR your future. You want things to change, and we are prime examples that small, easy-to-implement changes can truly bring purpose to your life and joy back to your days.
